The Zagreb-based company, Končar, is ready to participate in a tender for the supply of electric trams to be purchased by the Belgrade city authorities. It seems that Belgrade decided for trams and lightweight railways as a solution to their traffic problems.

Darinko Bago, the President of the Crotram consortium made up of Končar and TŽV Gredelj, confirmed their interest to participate in the tender, pointing out that the decision will be made when all tender conditions will be known. The Končar Group is already present on the markets of Serbia, Slovenia, Hungary and Bosnia-Hercegovina. According to Bago, Belgrade has no objections to the Crotram design and their designers are ready to adjust it to the needs of a specific city.
