The contract for the purchase of new military uniforms, reached between the Ministry of Defense (MORH) and 14 Croatian textile manufacturers, was a lifesaver to most of these companies.
This has been confirmed by Denis Popović, the Director of the Kroko International, the leading manufacturer. “For almost all the (participating) companies, this contract is a lifesaver, since the situation in the textile industry is extremely difficult,’’ said Popović. If we take a look at the total revenue of these 14 companies, which is somewhat above 423 million kunas, it is clear that the MORH contract accounts for only 9,2 %. Besides giving them a second chance, since any job is better than no job, the importance of this contract is that it has been signed for the next four years.
