Mark Mobius is one of the pioneers of investing in developing markets and the Executive director of Tempelton Assets, a part of the Franklin Tempelton Investments (FTI). Mobius believes that Central, Eastern and South-East Europe have better long-term chances, because of relatively successful fundamental characteristics and faster economic growth, in comparison to developed countries.

“The Croatian market experienced the influence of the global trends that led to historically low levels of trade and value. The future state of market will largely depend on the tourist season revenue and the closure of EU Accession negotiations by the end of 2009’’. Commenting the fact that the Croatian brokers are focusing more on international markets, Mobius said that they should focus more on their local/regional markets they know best and leave investments on international markets to experts in those particular countries’.
