The municipality of Trnovec Bartolovečki in the Varaždin County had the highest export rate last year.

The Varaždin Free Trade Zone is located in this municipality and the municipality alone exported 1,37 billion kn, which is more than many counties in Croatia achieved. The largest export reduction level, totalling to 29,4%, was in Ličko-senjska County. In general, this county has the lowest trade with other countries and does not contribute significantly to the national average. The Osječko-baranjska County reduced exports by more than 250 million kn (8 % reduction) and the Požesko-slavonska County reduced export rates by 17,6%.
