Poslovni Dnevnik found out from sources close to the Government that we might be seeing in the next ten days a public announcement by the Prime Minister of a change in the Trade Law that would once again allow shops to be opened on Sundays.

This was planned to be one of the main points of the HDZ pre-election campaign, but the plan was somewhat thrown off course by the “premature” actions of the Dubrovnik Mayor, Dubravka Šuica. It seems that the Prime Minister Ivo Sanader is not giving up on this ace in his campaign and so the announcement might just happen during the tour of the Croatian main coastal tourist centers, since they were the main centers of discontent with this ban.
