With the opening of the City Center One expansion, Zagreb will get an additional 16,000 m2 of mall space by the end of this week.

A few days ago the Austrian BOP Immodevelopment confirmed that they will build the new 3D Center, instead of Leclerc, with 30,000 m2 of retail space by 2011. Since announcements of new shopping malls are constantly incoming, the data shows that Zagreb should get an additional 789,000 m2 of shopping mall space by the end of 2011. With the present 240,000 m2, it will have 1.03 million m2 of shopping mall space, which is 1,3 m2 per every resident. In this projection, we did not include the retail chains, such as Konzum, Billa, Getro, Plodine etc., or the specialized retail stores.
