When the business plan for Zagrebački Holding was being reached in December and January, we heard warning from various sides that it was an overambitious pre-election plan that will be difficult to accomplish even in normal conditions, much less in times of recession.

The biggest shortfall was noted in the amount of investments. According to the yearly plan, in the first six months, 1.494 billion kunas should have been invested, but only 46% was the actual amount invested – 686 million kunas. Total revenue is 496 million kunas less than planned, while expenses were lower by 458 million kunas. While revenue actually grew by 5.21 % in comparison to the same period last year, the expenditures grew three times faster, so the profit totaled 10 million kunas, instead of the planned 46.4 million.
