Ma nema ljutnje. Pa i slijepcu je ocito da ATPL reagira na BDI a JDPL ne jer i nema zasto. Mozda bi na JDPL vezu izmedju cijene dionice i BDI mogli nazvati Gartarin poucak.[smiley]

DRY bulk rates have been surging over the past 24 hours, with trans-Atlantic rounds hitting $180,000/day.
THE dry bulk market has gone slightly mad today. The Capesize index has risen by nearly six percent in the past 24 hours. A trans-Atlantic round has gone up by more than $25,000 per day to nearly $180,000. A Pacific round has shown a bit more decorum and has only risen by $2,500 per day, while the fronthaul Capesize assessment has increased by $14,000 per day to more than $215,000.
One of the benchmark voyages in the Baltic Index selection is the C4 – 150,000 tonnes of coal from Richards Bay to Rotterdam. RWE, the German utility company, has relet one its Capesize vessels for such a voyage at $41 per tonne to Kleimar for loading in the second half of May. The last time this voyage rate sat above $40 per tonne was Christmas time.
The Panamax market has also firmed and its Baltic index has gone up by 1.4%. The average of the four timecharter trips in the Panamax sector is now approaching $75,000 per day.
The Supramax sector is also firming fast. Brokers report the fixture of the 2005-built, 52,544dwt, Topflight, taken by Noble for a trip delivery Visakhapatnam redelivery China, at $61,000 per day.

Reliance Power to make $1.2bn splash in dry bulk

Feedstock: Reliance Power’s mines in Indonesia will supply 20m tonnes of coal a year to its two power plants in India
RELIANCE Power, a recently listed unit of India’s Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, has unveiled a Rs48bn ($1.2bn) foray into dry bulk shipping.
The company will form a subsidiary that aims to acquire 12 dry bulk carriers, including five in the capesize bracket. The ships will be a mix of newbuilds and second-hand acquisitions, with London-based brokers Clarksons having been retained to advise on the details.
“For the newbuilds, we will be looking at shipyards in South Korea, China and Japan,” said a senior Reliance Power official. “The vessels will mostly be utilised for the company’s captive business of transporting coal from Indonesia to India, for use as feedstock in our upcoming power plants.”
Reliance Power recently won the rights to build and operate two large power plants – one in Maharashtra’s Shahapur district, and the other adjacent to Krishnapatam port in Andhra Pradesh, on India’s east coast.
It also purchased several coal mines in Indonesia that would supply around 20m tonnes of coal per annum to the two power plants.
Freight rates in the dry bulk sector are still buoyant and the demand for bulk carriers promises to remain good in the foreseeable future. The Reliance Power official said that while preference would be given to the company’s captive business, the vessels would also be leased out.

Upravo zavrsio sastanak sa STX. Na kraju pitao o otkazivanju. Puni su do 2011 (izbacuju 20 brodova godisnje) i postoji lista cekanja za eventualne otkaze. Mojima nije bilo jasno zasto me to interesira jer je agenda bila nesto drugo. [wink]
