Stock market intermediaries and issuers will soon have lower costs of trading. The Central Depository and Clearing Company (SKDD, ex. SDA) has decided to lower their prices.

The president of the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (Hanfa), Mr. Ante Samodol, confirmed that the SKDD leadership agreed to these changes. Vesna Živković, the President of the SKDD management says that the price list is being finalized and will be delivered to Hanfa next week. Prices will be reduced by 30-50%. These price reductions should result in 20 million kunas of yearly savings for the stock issuers and stock intermediaries and namely brokers. SKDD last year calculated 70 milllion kunas of profit. Together with the Zagreb Stock Exchange, profits climbed to 110 million kunas. If we include the Hanfa profits in the amount of 32 million kunas, the total amount rises to 140 million kunas. Although this amount is not entirely generated by the securities industry, the financial pressure was still significant. Since this is a crisis year with reduced business and companies are faced with greater adjustments to the regulations, the securities market regulators decided on these price reductions.
